In April 2019 the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade called for submissions on Ireland’s new Diaspora Policy for 2020- 2025. The Claddagh Association gathered feedback on the Irish Government’s Diaspora policy from the Irish community in Perth. We sought the community’s views through interviews at community events, a focus group and an online survey and submitted our findings to the Irish Government. You can read Claddagh’s submission here.
In 2020 Irelands Diaspora Strategy 2020-2025 was published. You can read it here.

The Claddagh Association acknowledges Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we are based and we acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original custodians of this country. We respect their cultures and Elders, past and present. We acknowledge the profound disruption of colonisation and value the continuity of cultural, educational and spiritual practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
