Your donations help us to support people through their most difficult times. For decades, we have assisted thousands of Irish and Irish Australian people in Western Australia. Demand for our services increased after the onset of Covid-19, while restrictions have prevented us from organising all our normal fundraising events so your donations are more important than ever before.
Claddagh receive generous support from the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme and these funds cover much of our office administration and some of the direct support we offer to those who are in difficulty. However, we must raise money locally to be able to cover the cost of all our support and services. This year (2025), Claddagh has provided almost $50,000 in direct support to Irish people living in WA – including help with mental health challenges, visa issues, serious illness, family breakdowns, and bereavement. We anticipate that the need will be even greater next year.
Are my donations tax deductible? The Claddagh Association is a registered charity, with Deductible Gift Recipient status. Gifts of $2 or more are deductible for the donor.
Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, we’ll send a receipt via email.
