Charity Truck Run & Afterparty

Date to be announced; Truck Run @11am, Afterparty @5.30pm

***UPDATE 3/03/2022 Truck Run postponed. More details below. Check back here for new date.

Just five weeks ago Irishman and proud trucker, Shane Glynn, contacted Claddagh to say he was organising a charity truck run and would like to donate the proceeds to Claddagh for our work with the Irish community in WA. Needless to say, we were delighted as COVID has prevented many of our fundraising activities. These are the main source of the funds we use to support those in difficult circumstances and Claddagh have been receiving more and more requests for help since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sadly, the truck run and afterparty has to be postponed due to the current restrictions BUT Shane Glynn, his co-organiser Corra-Lee Gamble and all their friends in the trucking community as well as special guests Craic N’ On and Jonny Reid are not giving up! They are postponing the truck run until the end of March and will then decide, based on government advice, about the best new date for the event.

We’re taking this as an opportunity to get even more people involved in the Truck Run and Afterparty!

Let all your friends know about the plan for the Charity Truck Run on a Saturday morning (to be announced), from Bedfordale Road Train Assembly Area to Pinjarra and across to the BP Truckstop, Lot 191 Paparone Road, Baldivis 6171. After a coffee break the trucks will return home. Later that evening there will be a party at the Irish Club. Best truck of the day will be announced, a great raffle will be drawn and special guests Craic N’ On and Jonny Reid will entertain the crowd till late.

A Charity Truck Run and Afterparty is being organised by members of the trucking community in WA to raise funds for the Claddagh Association. We are so grateful to them for their support.

Participants can register for the Truck Run here at a cost of $50 per truck.

We’ll be celebrating afterwards at the Irish Club, Subiaco. Free tickets for the afterparty available here.

All are welcome! If you don’t have a truck come along to the free afterparty which promises to be great craic. We’ll be selling tickets for fantastic raffle prizes and special guests, Craic N’ On and Jonny Reid will provide the music.

Craic N’ On are an Irish two piece band based in Perth WA, who play a mixture of traditional Irish music to modern rock and roll to current chart toppers with an Irish twist. They are very popular regulars on the Irish pub circuit around Perth. Guaranteed to have everyone up and dancing!

Jonny Reid is a Perth based Irish man with an iTunes Country Number One Album ‘Another Life’. He sings and plays guitars in Perth pubs and clubs most nights of the week as well as having sold out shows with his band. You’re going to love him!
